let's do it!!! The competition is really tough, as they've removed a spot from our region for the LAN, but we will rise to the challenge 🫡 🫡 🫡

Yeah it's definitely super euro centric change, which is cool because Europe definitely has the most girls playing, but really sucks for growing regions :/ Europe also already has other small circuits and tourneys for women whereas other regions don't

probably a often asked questions, but aren't y'all able to also play the general CS tourney circuit for price money etc?

Yes! Well sometimes, for anything that's a qualifier to an event, we usually can't play because the main roster is invited already (conflict of interest) There hasn't been a women's team in the same division as a men's team at the top division yet, so I'm not sure if they would allow that either

They likely would but dang didn’t think of conflict of interest So most female teams can never compete in major qualifiers etc because of that 👀 Why even field the roster then? Isn’t everyone’s goal to win a Major? (Not meaning to be offensive, just wondering) 1000 $DEGEN

Well there are a few things, representation (which is super big), and pushing the skill ceiling of the talent pool... From the org side, I know it's been used before to increase the odds of an org being selected for franchising (same reason people also had academy teams) I also think it tells a super cool story overall, about pursuing improvement and achievement as underdogs the women's scene is actually fairly new so I don't think it was a consideration before, but I think a recent tourney had specific slots in the qualifier for the top women's teams which I think is super cool, and I hope that they'll actually revisit the rule about conflict of interest as we start closing the skill gap between men and women in esports to open up that opportunity :)

I think they won’t change the conflict of interest rule, for the sake of bad outcomes if there are real conflicts of interest though Like they have a German qualifier for IEM Cologne I‘d love to see some of these tourneys have a female slot Because even if the skill gap may be there it offers a chance and visibility to the female rosters You can’t showcase yourself if you don’t play in the showcase Maybe even local hero male vs female teams Like take nounsfe and let y‘all play another NA team in IEM Dallas main event on stage before the final
