I love the sleep advice. For the first year, you will sleep less than you ever thought was possible for a human. Dan is right on with the hospital bag. Pack it and leave it in the car. I didnāt eat for 3 days after the birth of my first born and slept in the hospital room with my wife. I couldāve left at any time to the hospital cafeteria, but couldnāt stomach the idea of leaving her or my son. Didnāt want to miss even 1 minute of it. Anyway, all of this to say: Pack some kind of food that keeps. You might not even taste it, but make yourself eat if you have to. I know itās all about her and the baby, but you need some energy reserves for later. Finally, your baby will cry A LOT. Get used to it, bask in it. And never, ever, ever, ever, ever lose your patience with your infant when she or he cries. Not in 3 weeks. Not 1 year from now. Not until they can talk and tell you why theyāre crying. 0 reply
