This reminds me of when Jacek launched DEGEN. One of the responses from people as it was taking off: โCan you just name it something else? For the token to more easily gain mass utility, it should appeal to the masses. If someone thinks they are buying something that degenerates use, theyโre less likely to associate themselves with it. Itโs not going to be easy to market it.โ (Paraphrasing) I thought this was an interesting take. If crypto is ever going to distance itself from the gambling aspect of cryptocurrency, and introduce real, sustainable, and scalable utility for apps that the masses really want to use, the coin has to appeal to the masses.

see for me the fun of it was always that, although the name was DEGEN, it was: - launched on the least DEGEN crypto social network - launched with an actual use case (originally tipping, now a fun low-gas L3) it's a coin that covers the simple "funny name" checkbox but also is tongue in cheek because it's not purely Degenerate
