I don’t think most folks in crypto realize just how much of a joke this industry is perceived by anyone not in the space

Retail isn’t coming at ATH/lower interest rates. They were burned SO bad by “imaginary money”

Only an app they cant resist will legitimize the space & send price. Nothing else.

I think it’s going to be gaming apps and the metaverse that remove all of these ridiculous hurdles we jump through for every micro transaction. We’ll pay some company a monthly subscription to enter the metaverse and the subscription fees will cover gas. If gas is too high, the app will say “app unavailable”.

But after a year +, no one engaged on their metaverse platform and it didn’t bring more customers so they canceled it a couple months ago:

I was a member of their Odyssey program and collected their NFTs. But Starbucks did not make it plain to customers that NFTs could be traded and they didn’t tie it enough to their current points system in the Starbucks mobile app. There was no reason for anyone to engage unless you want to fly to a coffee farm.
