In 1500 AD, hunting peoples in the Philippines hung heavy objects such as dried fish and shellfish on the end of a 20-foot (about 6 meters) rope for hunting animals and fighting tools. It is said that the children of the hunting nations made the tool into smaller models and began to play with it. This is the origin of Youyou. Yoyo spread east from China to Nagasaki, Japan, west to India, and from India to Europe.$YOYO
