It forces you to create a new base name. Would be great if I can use my existing one

Thanks, agree. For now if you like you can transfer your base name to your smart wallet using these instructions, or just use your new one: https://docs.base.org/identity/basenames/basenames-faq#10-how-do-i-transfer-my-basename-to-another-address We’ll likely add some guidance in the flow and explore some smoother options.
