Is there a scenario where crypto just fulfills the promise of making the monetary system more accessible and we skip all the techno futurist stuff? Like can we just live in this society and enjoy the wealth? Or was it always about crypto people being unhappy and wanting to separate from society? A legit question.

That other stuff is just naive IRL metaverse larping that has no chance of going anywhere. Crypto will mostly just wrap/enhance whatever currently can benefit from doing so.
