IMHO, a vote for Republicans or Democrats are both votes for more war, it's just a question of how much war.

Right but tell that to the families that are about to be deported, and trans people who suddenly are not recognized as people, etc etc until your head spins off. War is not the only issue. I would contend we got extremely luck first term in that there were no massive catastrophes. Except covid which he bungled.

This is the problem with the government having so much power in the first place, it might seem like a good idea when your team is in charge but it works both ways. This isnt an issue of Trump being in power it's in issue of that power existing in the first place for him to take. For example if someone isn't harming anyone the government shouldn't have the power to violently kidnap that person and separate them from their family because they crossed an imaginary line without permission. But they have all done that, Obama, Biden, Trump. It's so hard to get people to see the root of the problem though it's all about which political party is in charge instead of the fact that a political party can dictate every aspect of your life in the first place. That's the problem.

BUT your are arguing something that can only be fixed by an armed revolution I’m arguing about something that can be made moderately better by voting It’s two different things Given the situation I would go with voting and small progress Things don’t change suddenly, progress takes a lot of effort and time

I don't think it requires armed revolution. They want people to think it would require violence, nobody usually wants to participate in that, so nothing ever happens except for less and less freedom. However the government is just people hiding behind pieces of paper. The government's power requires agents of the government in the form of police and military, both of whom are also people. People's minds can be changed peacefully. People could decide to disown family members who choose to be cops or soldiers, stop paying taxes, nullify juries, etc. If enough people resisted peacefully, what are they going to do? Lock them all up?
