Happy Accident is available on @foundation. This 1/1 is one of my most unique images.
Earlier in my photographic journey, I experimented with many vintage manual prime lenses because they were inexpensive, like 5-10x less expensive, and for their distinctive optical characteristics, such as unique bokeh, lens flares, and aberrations. I appreciate these imperfections, as they can add a certain character to the images that differ from modern, clinically sharp lenses.
Sometimes, that distinct optical characteristic pops and the resulting image seems magical. In this image, a rainbow lens flare is produced by the combined phenomena of the sun glare from One World Trade Center and the vintage Pentax SMC Takumar 55mm/F1.8 lens. This type of lens flare, in my opinion, is magical.
