'Abstract Impulses' series is the culmination of a process of primitivizing my compositional constructions, without abandoning density. It synthesizes several series and research projects I've developed over the last few years, both in terms of line and volume. From labyrinth to cartography, here I arrive at a kind of signalling, a glossolalia. I also see it as a kind of return to the impulse of my approach to painting, while bending to methods that bring it closer to a logic of relief engraving, or etching. 


In the Series, each motif is articulated in space, but also exists in its own, as it lies isolated close to the others, almost like a syllable. I worked very gradually on each piece, taking the time to observe each panel from different angles. My aim was to take into account both the volume and the liminal representation, while guiding the reading through dynamics.
