Giving him a majority is exactly what the people voted against, so that really isn't 'what matters'.Macron is hated and is abusing the rules of the 5th constitution. Democracy is to compose with people's decisions, not canceling it as an autocratic narcissistic king when it doesn't fit your plans.

France is a parliamentary system, where the assembly votes the laws. the ranking in the election results doesnt matter if it doesn't translate into an absolute majority of seats. What matters is the capacity to form a coalition that would reach an absolute majority of seats at the assembly, so that they would be able to govern. The only angle the NPF has is "we arrived 1st". They know, and French ppl know, it doesnt mean shit in this case, cause the election result gave a structurally fucked up situation. Even if Macron were to resign and NFP won the presidential elections, they cant dissolve the assembly for another year, so it would still be the same clusterfuck.
