Most psycho Ed Evals won’t even diagnose ADD, it’s just ADHD now. From someone who was diagnosed at 9 and was on some form of stimulant until 34 (quit 2 years ago), start to wonder what actually interests you in life when you’ve been supplemented with dopamine for so long

For my child at 5 it’s obvious he has trouble focusing so now we try to find learning environments where he can have some level of independence and sensory stimulation without being put into a box with the rest

Yes! I am doing the same for my 8yo. Moving to a STEAM-focused school.

Same. Though that provides its own challenges There is such a wide distrust of public education now Anyone that can still afford to live and send their child to private school does so That leads to lack of availability and stupid high tuition

This one is wildly a charter public school! I’m hopeful but very nervous about the dress code and early start for my creative divergent thinkers! https://www.lisaacademy.org/

It’s a new build, so all of us early adopters are biting our nails about whether there are enough qualified, diverse educators to staff all the positions. 🤞🏽

You gotta think by virtue of us putting so much thought and genuine effort into their education that we are doing the right thing, giving them a better opportunity to fall in love with learning Notably something I did not do until 25 yo
