This is an interesting article comparing outcomes for those diagnosed at a young age vs others with same symptoms but not diagnosed. Those diagnosed had worse outcomes. Interesting! I didn’t receive an ADHD inattentive diagnosis until age 43, and I agree with others here who received it as a healing framework for self-acceptance after a lifetime of masking.

Whereas, kiddos, if never given tender education and dignifying conditions for accepting and advocating for brain differences might have a much tougher time with self-limiting beliefs…because the brain is still under development! Plus pressures to belong…
