technically yes, I get it ... but a consumer buys ETH on Coinbase for example, they aren't going to be able to use one app on Ethereum, one app on Base interchangeably. 

have to bridge to Base and then come to a place like FC for example.

ya I do too, but I think the average consumer will find that extremely confusing, which is the paradox of his point imo (just use apps on Ethereum)

I just assume that build on eth means build on some L2 at this point
