The thing that gets me about vibecoding is that in order to go fast, you have to relinquish the desire to understand everything / read the code thoroughly

This is good in the short run (eg. you have to ship something quick) but bad in the long run because:

1. It’s intellectually less gratifying
2. The tech debt will murder you

I think vibe coding is great for prototypes and testing ideas.

If you tried to build a real app, it seems like it’s a ticking time bomb who’s code will need to be refactored in the future.

its a skill issue, anyone can build really complex apps if they spend time on brainstorming and planning with LLM rather than directly instructing them to create features
