DAOs constantly underperform because they take combine two of the worst parts of conservative and progress economic ideology. From progressive ideology: endless bureaucracy, spending without accountability or success metrics, patronage to friends and commercial allies. From conservative ideology: unrepresentative government because of inordinate power granted to unelected, propertied elites (i.e. big token holders).
