I love how friendly people in Argentina are to noobs trying to learn Spanish.

If they notice that you "habla un poco" they speak more slowly, use individual English words as needed if you don't understand, but don't just give up and use English for the whole conversation.

I wish people in more countries did this.

Indeed it is interesting that in so countries people are happy when they know you are trying to learn their language, while in others seems to be rather annoyed that you don't speak it fluent. Why?
