These are rollups, and rollups are not Ethereum. Gnosis is Ethereum. Polygon PoS is Ethereum. Binance Smart Chain is Ethereum. Monad is Ethereum. Ethereum is dead. Long live EVM compatible L1s.

If doteths really care about decentralization enabled resilience, deploy more nodes in Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba. I believe some folks out there are doing it, but it is far far far from being satisfactory. Stay within Uncle Sam's reach at your own peril. You won't be legit enough.

Ethereum is not global. It is mainly distributed in US and Germany, another states subject to long-arm jurisdiction. In other words, super convenient for the US govt to capture. This is a fact. As a doteth, you know this well enough.

Yet the crypto industry desperately seeks to stay in the US. For example, when Uniswap receives the Wells notice, instead of packing up and move out, they appeal to crypto populism and vow to fight SEC in court, which is a hopeless fight, and they know it. Uniswap is the hypocrite here.
