I figured out how to post gifs I think untitled, 2024 Pixels on screen Part of my extended series of work exploring various 3D subdividing cellular automata. Beginning from a single cube, every cell subdivides into 8 cubes every iteration, following different rules that dictate which cells remain alive or die. ⚰️

Wonder how familiar y'all are with plotter art? As a generative artist I collaborate the creation with my computer, and execution with my drawing robot. All of my plotted works are gen art, usually c# or js. This one is a dual layer cellular automata with parallel pens rotated 90° between layers!

A couple pen plotted postcards I made using my 1D cellular automata code from my current paper.js WIP 🖋️🖋️🖋️ The longest curve gets colored. Cool thing about this algorithm is the paths always form closed loops!

A main avenue of exploration in my work is Cellular Automata. I have projects based on 1D, 2D, 2.5D, 3D, cyclical, accretor, etc CA's...
