My latest painting & self-portrait explores the ‘Flaming Spirit’ as a symbolic representation of the divine love and transformative power of Source. In Mexican folk art, the Sacred Heart, often depicted with flames, is a common motif representing divine compassion for humanity. 

In the context of my painting, the flames signify the connection to Source emanating from within, yet also amplified from the fire pendant around the figure’s neck.
