So fun fact PSA: as a booze maker myself and previous service worker please see this as an example of what NOT to do. Guys that do this get upsold because they know nothing about wine. The pros don’t “taste” the taste, they just sniff it. If it smells like wet cardboard, it has corkage and is likely bad. That’s it. Just sniff it and say “good.”
