You can claim the cast as an NFT and that will remove it from trading

I don’t think so. Only the creator gets a share with every purchase from my understanding

Put another way, I suppose the biggest pro to claim is security knowing somebody else can’t buy it off you for a price lower than you want to sell it (because you now own it and can control how to price it elsewhere)… biggest con is it then not being tradeable on Jam’s native platform for you and creator to gain.

Well there are multiple ways to approach this but for eg what I’ve done is imported my jam wallet into MetaMask, logged into OpenSea with it, then just list the item directly on OS from that wallet.

Haha ohhh you bet! All of the "claimed" casts show up as NFT's under the same contract collection on OpenSea 😉
