It’s actually surprising that it took so long for American companies to push this kind of transit development. “Rail plus property” seems like a capitalist no brainer

Companies form to squash Capitalism though. I can think of 20 industry that would lobby against high speed rail. Not to mention eminent domain in the US based on state laws. You all make it seem easy which kinda should be but that’s not what we are dealing with.
