In the midst of an extremely bleak week in Syria some incredibly good news happened. The head of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces signed an agreement with the central government to integrate their forces and avoid a civil war or partition of the country. The agreement guarantees the rights of Kurdish Syrians and "rejects calls for division, hate speech, and attempts to sow discord among the components of Syrian society."
