Definitely some opportunity cost to onboarding into an ecosystem that’s quite different technically — maybe EVM compatibility for Bitcoin layers would be more appealing

Yes (BTC onboarded me to crypto) and Yes (specifically through folks I know at Trust Machines / Console). Less familiar with Clarity and frankly don't have the time to learn, would prefer to dedicate that time to learning something with more optionality like Move.

Hold some BTC but smaller % of my portfolio than ever. Changed my recurring BTC buy to ETH during the last bull cycle. Not looking back.

Stacks/etc is cool but have not seen enough adoption to check them out.

BTC is not for buidlers imo. But it will always be the reference currency.
