Abercrombie The First Law Trilogy / the blade itself. 
For me hands down the best writer of fighting and action I’ve ever read. Also with amazing depth to his characters. Read this trilogy a bunch of times and will do again.

Love those books! I completely agree, the action, the pacing of all the battles, the grittiness, second to none!! I love how you really feel you are inside the speaker's head as battles unfold and you only experience a tiny part of it. Feels very realistic.

Big time. The switching between perspectives is incredible. And the way he holds each character so fully. And then also Logan Ninefingers because he’s gotta be one
of the best characters in fiction. Red Country feels full of nods to Blood Meridian. I hold them on a par.
