I just looked them up, that’s an unbelievable amount of money for what should be something incredibly simple.  No hip harness either so all the weight is dropped on your shoulders.  A 200 dollar glorified plate carrier?  A 500 dollar ripstop pack?

When I trained for mountaineering, I used a pack I already had with hip belt to support the load, and heavy stuff like my ar500 chest plates and jugs of water.  Pack around it with clothing to keep it from shifting.  Stupid simple.
