ok, shill me your favorite watch that:
- is a good fit as a first watch and for everyday wearing
- is available for purchase
- doesn't look like a fancy watch
- fancy watch enjoyoors recognize as a fancy watch

I'd pass on seiko and tissot, get something cool, vintage and manual wind.  this can easily be found in the three digits and I'd drool over it.
