imo friendtech is the worst omen for social and society.

my #1 critique of social is that it’s turned us into dopamine addicts, consumed by competition, constantly projecting an image for others moreso than for ourselves.

friendtech takes this and… financializes it? and some of us are excited by it?

I understand the criticism of FT from the point of view that noobs with get rekt by another ponzi

But in terms of an omen for social it’s the purest form of what web3 always raves about - that building a following financially benefits you & value is not owned by the platform. And as an experiment that’s fun to see
