@robin
getting my library organized on rekordbox, specifically for easy lookup on CDJs i'm thinking: - use MyTags to support multiple genres / moods per track - add MyTags to Comments, allowing them to be displayed and searchable on CDJs (can't seem to do this with Genre) - derive playlists from MyTags what's your approach?

I started out on Serato, but needed to sync my library with rekordbox for the same reason. Been on Lexicon ever since https://www.lexicondj.com/ Not the cheapest, but it’s a Swiss Army knife for library management and syncing between dj software. Keyboard shortcuts, smart playlists, auto tagging by energy etc. 1/x

In terms of organisation, I took cues from music sentiment analysis, which works across 3 dimensions: valence (positive/negative), arousal (energetic/calm), and dominance (overpowering/passive). I’m only using valence and arousal atm, rated 0-9 for each, and it goes into the Comments tag, i.e. #X3 #Y6 2/x

I’ve found the specificity quite useful for navigating moods and energy levels on the fly, and I think adding the ‘dominance’ value could be worth doing too. Currently building a tool to integrate with an AI model and auto-tag all of my tracks in this way. If anyone’s interested feel free to DM :) 3/3
