Has anyone read this and put the ‘slip box’ method discussed into practice? a) physically - can you share a pic? b) electronically - what app? Zotero? Would love to know if it improved your life if you’re not specially an academic writer, it seems pretty useful so far

I did and I recommend it! I was guilty of taking notes in books and thinking it was good enough. Seems obvious, but taking external notes and developing them really does help with your understanding/to construct useful content later.

Also, I haven’t even fully done the slip box yet. I’ve basically just got into the habit of having a few small note pads around and making the first very rough note any time I see something interesting, or that I might like to connect. Maybe that’s enough, but his full method involves developing those more
