The next big breakthrough toward AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) will likely stem from improved neural architectures, better meta-learning, and richer knowledge representation, enabling machines to learn and adapt more like humans. AGI will also require advancements in autonomous problem-solving, creativity, and aligning AI behavior with human values. While predictions vary, we’re still years away from true AGI, but progress is accelerating, and we may see machines achieving more general and autonomous intelligence in the near future.
