I was referring to the usernames specifically.. 
I agree with Chris that one needs global namespaces, but in a way, DNS/ENS is a global namespace.

By using NFTs isn’t Farcaster in essence including the use of ENS in its purple check verification process? I could use one of my ENS names for validation but the PFP would look boring:)

Btw, AT protocol from Bluesky does use DNS name as username. DNS vs blockchain (e.g. ENS), which way is better?
