Sanjar Khan (Sanjar Khan Ali Beg) lived during the 19th and early 20th centuries and was known as one of the prominent Kurdish leaders of the Kermanshah and Hawraman regions.
He played a crucial role in leading and organizing the Kurdish people to protect their homeland and maintain strong ties with other Kurdish families and tribes. Sanjar Khan was also dedicated to preserving Kurdish traditions and customs.
At that time, the Qajar government tried to assert control over Kurdish lands and impose taxes and pressure on the Kurdish population. Sanjar Khan resisted these efforts, leading attacks against fortresses and engaging in battles with Qajar soldiers, where he demonstrated remarkable courage and leadership.
Sanjar Khan became renowned for his independence, compassion for his people.
However, after many years of struggle and continuous fighting to defend his people and land, he eventually passed away due to political pressures and shifting circumstances.
