I have an ultrawide at work only because we were not allowed to order 2. My dual monitor setup at home is still the more productive environment, as I use a lot of virtual desktops.

When I tested going ultra wide over 2 monitors, I started cheap to make sure I liked it. You can a get a LG 34WQ500 for like $250. Test it out, make sure you have the right window manager (I use Magnet for MacOS), and then you can go from there.
