Tet, also known as the Lunar New Year, is the most important and festive holiday in Vietnam. It marks the arrival of spring and a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and welcoming a fresh start. During Tet, people clean and decorate their homes, prepare traditional foods like bánh chưng and bánh tét, and give lì xì (lucky money) to children and elders. The streets are filled with vibrant flowers, especially peach blossoms and kumquat trees, symbolizing prosperity and happiness. Tet is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to reflect on the past year and hope for good fortune in the year ahead.
