Connect Token (WCT) is a critical token of the WalletConnect Network, powering the onchain UX ecosystem. WCT fuels the engagement system of the WalletConnect Network, with core functions spanning fees, rewards, staking, and governance.

Launching on @optimism’s OP Mainnet, the token will employ @ethereum’s security and OP Mainnet’s speed.

With WCT, holders can:

WCT will begin its release in Q4 2024 with additional releases over subsequent years. While tokens won’t be transferable initially, staking will be available from day one. Governance will decide when transferability begins as key milestones are achieved.
