The Venice airdrop highlights a big challenge with embedded wallets. Venice did a snapshot on Dec. 31 and holding the tokens in the cast below determined eligibility. I'm sure I'm not the only person trading tokens on apps like Frens, Clankermon, Vector, etc. All these apps require you to send funds to their embedded wallets rather than being able to simply connect your existing one. Same goes for telegram & desktop trading bot wallets. In order for you to claim your airdrop on these wallets you now need to import the private keys into new wallets. For Every Single App. And you likely lose out if the airdrops are tiered by volume or token amount since your assets are dispersed. A claim like Venice is prob worth the friction, but it's friction nonetheless. Oh, related - if you're doing a claim, pls be sure to add a checker that doesn't require wallet connection. Would very much help specifically in this instance to avoid importing multiple new wallets from a variety of apps.

Huge piece, especially as I was explaining to people that I'm not a huge fan of every-app-has-a-wallet I started using definitive dot fi this week because it does limit orders and TWAP (love it!) but I have to use an embedded wallet. I can see WHY I just don't like the knock-on effects (or is it after-effects? whatever) So people were telling me I need to get on Rodeo but guess what - yet another embedded wallet or 3rd action to do the transaction. I don't think more wallets is the answer long term for most of our issues, although it satisfies some of our near term issues

yup. i get it too, but really not a fan of the embedded wallets. plus, just more seeds and keys to worry about. nightmare for taxes, yada yada. btw - i never funded my Rodeo wallet, i was able to earn enough fees right off the bat from 'influencing' other ppl's mints that it funded all of my mints and then some. some of the charm has worn off, but still kinda fun to collect art you love ... you might wanna give it a go.
