mom requested fresh homemade mango pies for mother's day this weekend so i'm brushing up on my skills this week. 

i make these every summer if we have enough fruit.

in a really good season, mango is the only thing on my menu: smoothies. ice cream. pies. bread. pickled. and ofc, plain old fresh cut fruit.

vanilla. cinnamon sugar. tiny bit of thickening agent like cornstarch. squeeze of lemon. and some pats of butter under the crust.

and vanilla ice cream ofc ;)

i've tried making it with homemade crust before but for some reason it's never as good as the premade ones. crust might not be my specialty tho.
