Stablecoins are potentially an extremely clutch breakthrough for the US in a time when the dollar is being challenged as the reserve currency.  

The dollar is dominant onchain, if onchain adoption grows then US dominance continues and expands.

The stars are aligning for top level incentive alignment for the success of stablecoins (and by extension the onchain economy).

If other countries stop wanting to buy/hold as much US debt, stablecoins will grow even more important as a source of demand for treasuries
