i can see why people compare there two, but they are very distinct and different to me. Clanker (which i am a big fan of) is finding a lot of success in tokenizing projects (anon, native, clankfun etc) and farcaster native memes. Zora is purpose built for content: images, videos, gifs, songs etc. It's more social by nature. The UX, context and problem space is very different (and will probably diverge even more).

Time will reveal whether we’ll have a single launchpad that caters to everyone or multiple launchpads tailored to different audiences, cultures, & focuses In the context of exchanges, the market seems to favor monolithic solutions Purpose-built platforms have largely been outpaced by aggregators that deliver a unified experience, allowing access to all coins on a single platform It'll be interesting to see whether launchpads follow a similar path of consolidation or if they manage to resist, carving out space for more specialized, purpose-driven experiences

We need to find a way to make it more decentralized. Perhaps social dex that indexes some data set attributed to the coin.

what’s cool is that all of the metadata is already onchain in zora coins. so it’s very easy for any platform to access that media.

But what metadata? I think we need some sort of an agreed-upon user interface face that gets populated. For example @chrislarsc.eth is suggesting “media coin”. Creator; Subject; date of creation (autonomous), ?? Just having a standardized vocabulary for indexing would benefit.
