I'd suggest it's deeper, or different. 2005 Republicans 2025 Democrats and non MAGA Republicans

There is no such thing as a non MAGA Republican. You’re just a former Republican. Party has shifted.

Idk, maybe. I'm absolutely neither a MAGA nor Republican, so maybe I'm disconnected from the reality of the party, but it does seem there is a difference.

Lincoln project republicans still exist tho. Maybe you’d consider them former Republicans but I doubt they would characterize their movement that way.

Yeah, I was thinking about Dan's comment a bit this morning, and was thinking no way. Being Republican isn't unary (or neither is being Democrat for that matter). It isn't (or can't possibly be imho) that all Republicans are MAGA.

On the left there’s also a huge difference between being forced to vote democrat as the lesser evil and ACTUALLY being a member of the democratic party
