Wasn’t sure where to cast this, but my son (17) just bought me breakfast for the first time at his favorite greasy spoon🥄 restaurant. Was going to stop him because I know he’ll just ask me for more money later 😆. But…he seemed really proud to offer, so I let him do it. He’s proud to be earning some of his own money, and I call that a success.

I have a 16yo and that will be a pretty rad day when that happens - I know every time I get to pick up something for my parents or “in-laws” I feel grateful. Like things are in the right place. 

There have been times in my life that I would avoid meeting up because I was ashamed I couldn’t do that.
