I have a hard time taking third party voters seriously, because 1. the reality of the situation is we get stuck with less liked candidate (see video) and 2. ive spoken to many who didn't even try to help If we were able to get RCV passed in NYC, anyone can do it. https://warpcast.com/heytrip.eth/0x1125a651

Imagine if we had RCV for this election: It would basically guarantee that we would get a third party candidate as president. Not only would people free to vote for who they really wanted, but The right and left hate eachother so much that they would simply cancel each other out. Imagine what the US would look like without the two party politics constantly undermining itself. The parties would have to evolve from basically "vote for us because at least we're not them" to actually something constructive to stay relevant

I don't necessarily agree it would guarantee anything, since we've never dealt with it at any scale. I DO think that all parties could have legitimate primaries that hopefully brought out better candidates to start from

The whole concept of Primaries are part of the problem I think. You have the extremes of each party outweighing the moderates since they aren't balanced out by the other side of spectrum
