Anyone working on NFT ticketing app (for events, etc)? Old idea that hasn't worked so far. But big enough opportunity to keep trying IMO.

I'm kinda bearish on this idea Doesn't solve a problem for incumbents. Status quo of digital tickets with centralized databases somewhat works Crypto superpowers of global liquidity and censorship resistance feel unneeded for local, physical events Ticket as digital collectible is a no-brainer but a niche concern

You don't think secondary royalties could be a big deal for an issuer? Lot of $ left on the table in scalping

They can already do this with digital tickets in their own databases

The major incumbents do this. The NFL did a big marketing push a few years ago to promote their official ticket marketplace Some kind of newly enabled behavior seems possible, like collectibles, or loyalty programs, or adding some kind of ponzinomic gamification, etc but I am doubtful TicketMaster benefits from crypto

sounds like you think we're moving away from tickets as bearer assets and towards tickets as access permissions managed by an issuer?

It's already happened. Digital tickets flipped physical years ago. The ticket exchanges increasingly own the venues too. Consolidation and vertical integration has created oligopoly. Don't think crypto primitives can help compete directly in this game, although disruption and a new game always possible
