Anyone else a bit bummed by xmtp chat in wallets so far?

Combining money movement and messaging is exciting generally, and especially in crypto.

But everyday come these notifications and spam. Can't stop them, can only block. It will hurt wider adoption.

Maybe it was inevitable the first use case would be spam.

Agreed, the spam in xmtp chat can be a downside. Hopefully, developers will find a solution to balance convenience and privacy to ensure wider adoption. Fingers crossed for improvements soon!
