what if the future of crypto isn’t utopia but full-blown degeneracy every cycle gets weirder pump.fun, meme coins, tokens for vibes attention spans shrink, the dopamine hits get faster minting isn’t enough — it has to hit instantly social media turns into social scoring you get paid to watch ads or livestream yourself in a cage for $DEGEN tips this doesn’t appeal to the maxis or the visionaries they’re building systems but the crowd just wants a payout a moment of viral chaos something that feels like winning maybe crypto’s final form isn’t freedom maybe it’s financialized spectacle and we’re all just logging in to play our part 🎩

yeah but we are not here to build whatever the people wants but what the people needs and casinos already exist, creating a onchain casino is cool but this is a short vision we don't even have free random numbers, so, I think the blockchain has not been born for being "just" a casino people is looking for easy and fast payouts because the real economy is fucked, so they (we) need money and the traditional ways are fcked too (corruption,etc) building a casino and take a fee is the easy way to monetize here. Bulding the future is a different thing, agree.

Yeah, I get what you're saying — and I agree to an extent. There’s definitely a bigger vision to chase, like real-world use cases: fast loans, instant stablecoin payments across borders, cutting out the middlemen. That’s the real impact stuff. But at the same time, the degen side is part of the culture too. It’s like reality TV — maybe not what we need, but people tune in anyway. It pulls attention, drives usage, and honestly, sometimes it’s the gateway for folks to even learn this tech exists. So yeah, build the future — but don’t be surprised if the casino pays the bills while we do it.

I would not move a single comma on your cast, agree the "casino" is already paying the bills and driving attention, this should not be ignored, I think we tried to do a shift in the main narrative in an attempt to get more attention on defi and socialfi to attract other kind of people too, does it mean that we are hating on traders and they should leave? I don't think so, after all, we all are degens while replying was thinking how hard could be to build a real casino machine working with degen?!😅
