Pretty stoked to see degen following the rest of the market recovery. Aligns with my belief that degen is a more mature project now that will hold its own against coins with much bigger MCs.

I hate makes you so sure it will hold its own? Price action? It didn’t recover nowhere near as close as some other meme tokens (if we place it into meme category) and no where near as close to other chains (if we place it into the chain category).

The monthly airdrop did kind of hit at the exact same time as the improvement in market sentiment and DEGEN is still doing well, despite that. They have continued to iterate ways to use degen allowances beyond tipping, such as mint.club, degenpad ITO's, and have a bunch of other usecases in the works. Farcaster is starting to grow again as well which will only help.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Fwiw, I never doubted there will be some kind of developer activity and I’m not doubting their dev expertize. I would expect that to happen, building, innovation, creativity in development, it’s their bread and butter. But being a good developer and running a successful project are very different things. And I’m not seeing (or can’t find) any reliable information that will strengthen my conviction in Degen’s 1) ecosystem builders community (devs, apps, incentives, grants, hackathons, any plans or roadmap or anything), 2) community of creators (memers, competitions, incentives for them etc.), 3) community of holders and 4) token price. Im also interested in some basic GTM strategy, marketing, Twitter expansion as the untapped market etc. Just asking questions. Possible would like to get involved if necessary.

Appreciate the questions, and totally get where you’re coming from. Here’s a quick rundown: 1. We haven’t published a roadmap yet, and we don’t give out traditional grants (they tend to fall short). Instead, we have tip allowances, and @degenpad is a solid way to fund projects through community support. 2. The /degen channel has over 95k followers on Farcaster, and creators get tipped for the content they produce—around 4M $DEGEN gets given out daily. 3. Almost 800k $DEGEN is locked in the Degen vault, with key holders like 1Confirmation, @wake, and other dedicated community members. 4. We aren’t focused on marketing just yet. We’re waiting to hit product-market fit first, but the good news is we’ve kept burn low, so we’re good for the long haul.

Re No 4., I get where you're coming from. And I respect it. That said, raiblocks/Nano (my first coin, and my first crypto love) suffered mostly due to lack of marketing. I... Still can't get over that.

Thanks for the answers! These are helpful. Since we rely a lot on community activity, engagement, social interactions, it'd be nice to have, especially for new users, something like an encompassing knowledge base with all Degen-related info, ecosystem projects, ways to get involved, and anything else one might find helpful. Something like a (interactive) mind map showing all of these. Idea for a community project maybe. I guess I wanted to see more concrete GTM strategy for moving forward and I was comparing Degen to other general-purpose L2s which might have been a mistake on my part, but it'd be still nice to read/know more about some plans. I'd feel a lot more at peace if I knew there's a degen-values-aligned bizdev and marketing team/plan at least on the roadmap for the future. Glad you kept the burn rate low! Very important actually.
