Most people today have food, clean water, shelter, medicine, transportation, and access to information. Even the poorest among us live better than the richest kings ever did. So here’s the reminder: Don’t chase more thinking it’ll make you happy. If you’re unhappy, it’s not because you don’t have enough — it’s because you’ve forgotten how much you already have. No one needs to be rich to enjoy life. You’re already living in extreme wealth by historical standards. Stop comparing. Start appreciating. Stay grounded. Stay $DEGEN. Happy holidays.

I agree mostly about the "most", but the ones on the streets I don't think they live better than those of old. There's so little opportunity for those who have already fallen into the cracks of society Back then you could go somewhere on your own possibly, nowadays, *everything* is owned? The homeless(and others) are commodified, they get plugged into "services" that generate money off of them, but they have very little incentive to de-homeless them, they'd lose $$! It *may* be a small percentage, but it's truly a tragedy when houses sit empty/etc We could help, but we don't, it's easier/cheaper to look away

I know it’s controversial, but I don’t have much sympathy for homelessness in Western countries. Food, shelter, and jobs are very accessible—it’s hard, but very possible, and anyone can do it.

Oh sure, we all have our different views, media ensures that In a way To me, the competition just seems too fierce what resources I tried to access were apathetic at best, the shelter being offered were jail-like, I could leave, but in every other way jail-like, had to make my own way in a vehicle, which has slowly turned into a manageable home, but ever since the Supreme Court decision about homelessness I know it's a ticking clock The suffering I've seem around me is heartbreaking, and most people just want to sleep it away send them to another area or something... Anyways not trying to be a downer, I hope it improves, but it seems like we're essentially just bags of money to most of the system
