This chain project would be amazing to work on. I’ve been thinking about how the ‘open source’ part of the permissionless requirement we take for granted is actually not permissionless at all. GitHub is part of a corporation, and it’s greatly centralized. Hosting all the source code of the world in a Git Chain would be the last piece of the puzzle to guarantee resilience and true decentralization for any piece of the ‘supply chain’. https://github.com/gitchain/gitchain

As I understand it, Radicle uses Git as the versioning system, and “just” stores data with a cryptographic signature. Gitchain was born as a system alternative to Git, that does versioning using a blockchain. I don’t know if that’s clear, it’s a subtle difference, but it makes more sense IMHO
